Quota has been specified for women in different Initiatives of PMYP, SAPM Shaza Fatima Khawaja

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja addressed the Pakistan Youth Convention. She announced the revival of the Prime Minister’s Laptop scheme along with the launch of 4 other initiatives. Sapm stressed upon the enhanced inclusion of women in different initiatives of the Prime Minister’s Youth programme. She announced that under the banner of “Girls learn Girls Earn” Youth Programme is focusing on providing women the maximum number of opportunities. 50 percent quota has been specified for the women in the laptop scheme and skills development programme. A 25 percent Quota is now reserved for women in Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loans. She further said that under the Vision of “Mehnat mein Azmat” the promotion of dignified blue-collar jobs is the top priority of the government. So that people with less education can also be benefited from the programme. Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that keeping in view the future trends, High tech skills training is being given to male and female students all across Pakistan. Narrating about the progress of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme since 2013, Sapm said that till now 74 billion rupees have been disbursed under the loan scheme, whereas more than 4 hundred thousand men and women have been trained under the Skills Development Programme. Highlighting the lower number of applications for business loans she urged women to apply for business loans and begin their journey of entrepreneurship.
